.net Software Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
This is a highly participatory, hands-on job. You will participate in all areas of .net systems and application architecture, software design and development. 

The Software Engineer's (SE) main responsibilities are centered in the areas of systems and application architecture, software design and software development.  The SE will be highly participatory and hands-on, with the planning and implementation of software applications. The SE will participate in all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

QUALIFICATIONS

Education : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.

Experience : You will need to have 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in designing, developing and supporting medium to large scale software applications.  Any experience in the Pharmaceutical, clinical research, or CRO environment is a plus, but not a necessity.  You should also have substantial exposure to in-house and shared systems, multiple hardware platforms, and integrated information and communications systems.

Knowledge and Skills : You must possess in depth knowledge and hands-on experience with all phases of an SDLC. You should be able to quickly understand and convert business requirements into functional specifications. You'll also need excellent application documentation skills.

You'll also need structured programming skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio and Visual Studio.Net including Visual Basic.Net, ASP.Net (C# is a plus. (This company will consider candidates with .Net 1.1 or 2.0 for Windows & Web.)an extensive working knowledge with Relational Database Management Systems (Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or 2005) and/or Oracle.

You should have a working knowledge of team development software and automated testing tools.

Your extensive hands-on experience with Windows 200x Server and Windows XP operating systems is a plus.
